The Lancet, Oncology, hold an annual competition to illustrate their monthly journal for a twelve month period. This competition is open to artists and illustrators from all over the world, so I was thrilled to be chosen for this.

Each month, I was sent a paragraph of copy, explaining the main theme of each issue (most of which I had to research due to the scientific vocabulary and referencing involved in cancer research and treatment), which I used to create a final image that, hopefully, encapsulated this in an eye catching and coherent way.
